Consortium9 is creating the future of interactive entertainment.

The state of play in the gaming industry is broken, and we aren’t saying anything new by claiming this. From over-funded AAA games failing to deliver on their promise to the new wave of Play2Earn, every game seems to be taking the worst parts of the videogame business and somehow finding new lows.

We’re here to bring back everything that made games fun in the first place. To do away with pay-to-win, play-to-earn, and all the other ways the gaming industry has stripped the fun from play. We’re not here to cynically recreate all their worst inventions with shiny new technology; we’re here to create the world in which we ourselves want to play. That’s why we’re building NOR. Position Summary

The Community Liaison is the primary communication hub connecting the NOR team and its community.

Our ideal candidate is

  • A motivated self-starter who works equally well independently or in collaboration with others.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and amalgamate feedback from the community for the NOR team.
  • Engage the community with a trusted point of contact that provides information, addresses their concerns, and assists them with minor technical issues.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to provide support for various initiatives and events.
  • Represent the Community team and Consortium9 in a positive, professional manner.
  • Monitor the NOR Discord, keeping discussions on topic and taking action as needed.

Skills

  • Proven excellence in creative and technical writing skills.
  • At least two years of experience in online community relations and/or customer service.
  • Familiarity with Photoshop, Discord, and Twitter Analytics.
  • Effective time management.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Sound Designer for our groundbreaking gaming platform. This position will add sound effects to a fast-paced competitive gaming environment that is currently being created.

This is a project-based and possibly renewable contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and implementing in-game sound effects, from raw asset creation through to tuning-in game behavior(s) and mixing, using a combination of commercial and proprietary tools
  • Assisting with preparation, execution and editing of recording sessions applicable to the game’s needs under the direction of the Head of Game Design and Chief Creative Officer
  • Working with the development team to understand, design and execute audio
  • Help shape the audio pipeline for the studio with tech, middleware, and process development and selection

Skills

  • 2+ years of experience working in game audio design (AA/AAA experience considered priority upon applying)
  • Excellent creative audio design skills
  • Excellent critical listening skills
  • Ability to take and tune high-quality audio assets from custom recordings, libraries and other applicable sources. Foley expertise moves to the front of the line
  • Experience with working in Unreal Engine (4/5), WWISE, and other audio pipelines. Spatial Audio experience is a plus
  • Understanding of technical limitations, trade-offs and compromises in order to explore new potentials and possibilities to push the boundaries of sound design
  • Understanding of environmental acoustic modeling and ability to create assets suitable for diverse gaming environments

Position Summary

As Director of Marketing at Consortium9, you’ll be responsible for developing the C9 Marketing team: managing creation, execution, and reports for all marketing campaigns. You will develop our strategy and roadmap by fostering relationships with external agencies, production companies, and other key industry players. Through internal management and external relations, you will actualize our marketing roadmap from strategic development to market.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has 10+ years marketing experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience

  • Has experience developing brand architecture and product positioning within the digital landscape, bridging together consumer data, competitive/trend analysis, and creative vision
  • Works across the organization to align external and internal marketing initiatives to match company objectives and goals
  • Staying focused on the big picture even while getting into the weeds with your team.
  • A strong communicator. Great follow-through, clear and direct verbal and written communicator, and extremely organized

Responsibilities:

  • Define, build, and manage the company’s marketing department
  • Develop and manage C9’s overall Marketing, PR, and Advertising Strategies for all funnel stages and all target audiences (gamers, meta-gamers, and spectators)
  • Ensure marketing efforts are aligned with the company’s financial and branding goals across all channels
  • Manage and coordinate partner/agency relationships and productions
  • Work closely with all relevant departments to lead the creation of engaging brand content that aligns with company needs and goals
  • Plan and oversee execution of marketing campaigns, brand initiatives, and event experiences
  • Create and/or approve marketing campaign brief
  • Originate and oversee marketing partnerships
  • Oversee and direct the creation of the NOR Brand Style Guide
  • Define and manage budget expectations and performance
  • Market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising, and public relations.

Skills:

  • Extensive marketing knowledge in a variety of disciplines, including multi-media production, UX, social media, digital, trade, PR, and broadcast
  • Experience managing a broad portfolio of consumer products
  • Deep understanding of gaming industry dynamics
  • Ability to build marketing plans supporting the ‘big picture’ while still willing to roll up your sleeves and do detail work
