The state of play in the gaming industry is broken, and we aren’t saying anything new by claiming this. From over-funded AAA games failing to deliver on their promise to the new wave of Play2Earn, every game seems to be taking the worst parts of the videogame business and somehow finding new lows.

We’re here to bring back everything that made games fun in the first place. To do away with pay-to-win, play-to-earn, and all the other ways the gaming industry has stripped the fun from play. Position Summary:
We’re looking for a Head of Engineering who’s excited to work with a dynamic team in establishing the technical roadmap and strategies for an innovative gaming platform. This position will be working with leadership in the game department as the infrastructure architect of the gaming platform. The right candidate will have an understanding of software development, scaling and production. Our Head of Engineering will have ownership of all technical aspects as we grow. We’re looking for someone who comes from gaming and Esports and understands the technical challenges of such environments. Quick thinking and a willingness to explore ways to implement, evolve & innovate within the vision for the Nor platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate technical challenges and resources required by the production
  • Establish & promote the vision for the platform
  • Own the technical roadmap, its prioritization and timely delivery
  • Raise concerns, recommendations, and champion solutions
  • Keep an eye on the platform’s growth and needs, ensure the decisions taken are good and aligned with the vision
  • Manage resource planning and recruitment

SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline; will consider equivalent related experience based on project(s).
  • Strong engineering background in games AA – AAA – Shipped titles
  • 8+ years of experience in an engineering role; evaluations based on project(s).
  • Experience building and scaling an engineering team: preference given to those who have worked with gaming platform(s)
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages, patterns, roadmaps, principles and software architecture
  • 3+ years experience in full-feature software development lifecycle, including tech requirements, development, QA, and testing
  • 3+ years experience developing in Unreal
  • Experience of HTML/CSS approaches to game UI (React, etc)
  • Strong experience executing agile management principles using project management software such as Jira, Perforce, and other comparable software.
  • Good communication skills including written, presentation and interpersonal across all departments and leadership

Position Summary

The Community Liaison is the primary communication hub connecting the NOR team and its community.

Our ideal candidate is

Responsibilities

  • Gather and amalgamate feedback from the community for the NOR team.
  • Engage the community with a trusted point of contact that provides information, addresses their concerns, and assists them with minor technical issues.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to provide support for various initiatives and events.
  • Represent the Community team and Consortium9 in a positive, professional manner.
  • Monitor the NOR Discord, keeping discussions on topic and taking action as needed.

Skills

  • Proven excellence in creative and technical writing skills.
  • At least two years of experience in online community relations and/or customer service.
  • Familiarity with Photoshop, Discord, and Twitter Analytics.

Position Summary
As Marketing and Brand Project Manager at Consortium9, you’ll be responsible for managing all marketing projects from briefing to concepting to production and final delivery of assets. You will coordinate with C9’s internal resources and external partners, including our ad agency, to ensure we adhere to our processes and that all needs are met.

Our ideal candidate is:

  • A self-starter who manages their time efficiently across multiple projects.
  • Able to keep projects “on the rails” and coordinate with various stakeholders to keep projects on schedule.
  • Able to anticipate potential roadblocks and troubleshoot in advance.
  • Experienced in supporting a variety of marketing and comms deliverables, including digital, social, and integrated campaigns from brief development to delivery.
  • Knowledgeable of content creation and delivery on all social platforms, including live streams, Reels, Discord, Twitter, plus various other platforms.
  • A strong communicator. Great follow-through, clear and direct verbal and written communicator, and extremely organized.
  • Experienced: 3-6+ years in project management, ideally at a creative agency.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Sound Designer for our groundbreaking gaming platform. This position will add sound effects to a fast-paced competitive gaming environment that is currently being created.

This is a project-based and possibly renewable contract position.

  • Creating and implementing in-game sound effects, from raw asset creation through to tuning-in game behavior(s) and mixing, using a combination of commercial and proprietary tools
  • Assisting with preparation, execution and editing of recording sessions applicable to the game’s needs under the direction of the Head of Game Design and Chief Creative Officer

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Director of Technology who will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of the NOR technology platforms. Your primary responsibility will be spearheading the planning and development of NOR by overseeing all Technology development teams, as well as writing functional code for both centralized and decentralized technologies. You will also be responsible for determining the technology, hardware, and infrastructure to support the platform features. To perform these duties, you will engage in planning, purchasing, and contracting with technology partners and vendors. You will work with these external teams alongside our internal to develop the policies and procedures for the use and implementation of the NOR platform.
